DMCA & Copyright Policy

ChopSkills.com (operated by Destination Creation) respects the intellectual property rights of others. Because our platform revolves around digital manipulation and “chopping,” we rely on the legal doctrine of Fair Use (specifically parody and transformative use) for much of the content our users create.

However, we do not tolerate blatant plagiarism or copyright infringement.

1. Fair Use vs. Infringement

  • If an artist transforms an existing image to create a new meaning, parody, or message, it may be protected under Fair Use.
  • If an artist simply copies another artist’s completed illustration or photograph and submits it as their own original concept, that is infringement and will result in a ban.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice If you believe your copyrighted work has been copied or used on ChopSkills in a way that constitutes infringement (and falls outside the bounds of Fair Use), please provide our Copyright Agent with a written notice containing:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • A link (URL) to the specific submission on ChopSkills.com.
  • Your contact information (email and mailing address).
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner.

Send DMCA Notices to us using our contact form or via email to info@chopskills.com

(Note: We actively moderate entries, but as a host, we rely on DMCA safe harbor protections. We will promptly remove infringing content upon receiving a valid legal notice.)
